Made from the original secret formula created in 1851 by Palol and Davide Lazzaroni in Saronno, Italy, this classic liqueur is the only Amaretto made from an infusion of the famous Amaretti di Saronno cookies, rather than from an essence. This gives the amaretto a more delicate almond and apricot flavor. This is still produced and bottled according to the original recipe.
